Manga Industry Report: Digital Sales Surpass Print for First Time

For the first time in history, digital manga sales have surpassed print sales globally, according to a comprehensive industry report released this week. Digital sales accounted for 52% of total manga revenue in the past fiscal year.

Industry analysts predict digital’s share will continue to grow, though print manga remains culturally significant in Japan, where physical volumes still outsell digital copies domestically.
