New York Comic Con has announced a major expansion of its anime programming for 2026, dedicating an entire hall of the Javits Center exclusively to anime and manga content.
The expanded anime section will feature dedicated screening rooms, panel stages, and exhibition spaces. Major anime distributors and publishers have committed to significant presences at the event.
NYCC organizers cited the explosive growth of anime fandom in the US as the primary driver for the expansion. Anime-related panels were among the most attended events at last year’s convention.
Special guests from Japan, including directors, producers, and voice actors, will participate in exclusive panels and meet-and-greet events throughout the weekend.
