Funimation and Crunchyroll Complete Full Library Merger

Sony’s Funimation and Crunchyroll have completed their full library merger, creating the world’s largest legal anime streaming catalog with over 20,000 episodes and 300 feature films available on a single platform.

The merger brings together decades of English-dubbed anime from Funimation’s library with Crunchyroll’s extensive simulcast and subtitled catalog. Users now have access to everything through one subscription.

Former Funimation subscribers have been migrated to Crunchyroll with preserved watch histories and preferences. The transition has been described as one of the smoothest major platform mergers in streaming history.

The combined platform now serves over 15 million paid subscribers worldwide.
