My Hero Academia Series Finale Gets Extended Runtime

Bones Studio has announced that the final episodes of My Hero Academia will receive an extended runtime format, with each of the last four episodes running 45 minutes instead of the standard 24 minutes.

The decision was made to properly adapt the manga’s climactic final battle without rushing the source material. Series director Kenji Nagasaki called it “the sendoff this beloved series deserves.”

After nearly a decade of captivating superhero anime fans worldwide, the series is set to conclude with what promises to be its most ambitious and emotionally impactful arc yet.

A commemorative art exhibition and concert event are planned to coincide with the series finale broadcast.
